Summer Camp Provider

Oak Hill

Oak Hill is the oldest operating summer camp program that partners with Camp Harkness. The folks at Oak Hill do more than summer camp. This organization works directly with individuals with disabilities throughout the year. See what they're about by visiting their site.

Summer Camp Provider

The Arc of Eastern Connecticut

The Arc runs a summer camp for any adult with a disability each summer and outside of the camp season, works to partner with people living with intellectual and developmental disability for EQUAL participation and inclusion in the communities of eastern Connecticut. "In Partnership for Full Equality"

Summer Camp Provider

Sunrise Northeast (formerly UCP)

Sunrise provides summer camp focused on individuals with multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy. Beyond camp, this organization is dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Much of their early growth can be attributed to assisting state agencies with deinstitutionalization efforts.

Equine Therapy and Barn Programs

HH Stonewall Farms

Based out of Middletown, this program provides experiences with animals for individuals with disabilities. Beginning in summer 2024, HH Stonewall Community Farm began offering their equine therapy program - the Horse Buddy Program - at Camp Harkness.

Volunteer Partners

Master Gardener Volunteer Program

The Master Gardener program at Camp Harkness is an outreach initiative that combines gardening with therapeutic practices offered as part of our summer camp programs. The Master Gardeners help to maintain the greenhouse and the Brown Cabin garden and raised beds throughout the year.

Gift Run Partners

Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson of New London

Each year since 1979, Camp Harkness has hosted the Motorcycle Gift Run, raising funds to provide individuals with disabilities gifts and gift cards during the holiday season. Mike's Harley is an integral piece of this event each year and continues to foster a strong partnership with the camp community.

Gift Run Partners

Harley Owners Group of New London

Also a major player in the Motorcycle Gift Run, H.O.G. of New London County dedicates their time and energy to the growth of  this event. It is thanks to the effort and charity of its members that the Camp Harkness Foundation is able to provide holiday gifts and gift cards to individuals and their families in need.

Magic of the Faeries Partners

Wee Faerie Village at the Florence Griswold Museum

The artists behind the Wee Faerie Village have donate their time and artistry to create faerie doors that find their homes in the gardens at Camp Harkness. It is thanks to these artists that camp gets a little more magical!

CTFSN

The Connecticut Family Support Network continually provides opportunities for passholders and their families to connect with others who have similar lived experiences. They have been a long-term collaborator with CHF and Camp Harkness.
